Attorney Carl Shusterman speaks at immigration seminars on a frequent basis. He also participates in online webinars and provides immigration information to a wide variety of employer and immigrant organizations.

When he worked as an INS Attorney (1976-82), he developed a program where government attorneys spoke at US Citizenship classes throughout Southern California.

Topic: Immigration in President Biden’s First 100 Days
February 25, 2021

Attorneys Josh Surowitz and Carl Shusterman will discuss the following topics:

What will President Biden do with immigration policy during his first 100 days, given that his campaign hallmarked policies to safeguard our security, provide a fair and just system that helps to grow and enhance our economy, and secure our cherished values? We will focus on what, at this time, is believed to be the likely practical consequences of his administration’s anticipated policies.

• What effect will Biden’s Executive Orders have on Trump’s Travel Bans, Remain in Mexico Policy, the Border Wall and restrictions on Temporary Work Visas and Family Reunification?
• Is his proposal to provide a Pathway to Citizenship to 11 Million Undocumented Immigrants likely to be passed by Congress?
• How does Biden propose to change Employment-Based and Family-Based Immigration?
• What are his plans for reforming the immigration enforcement system including both ICE and the Immigration Courts
