Our law firm has immigrated more registered nurses (over 5,000) to the United States than any other firm. We hope that this page demystifies the process of immigration for RNs, their employers and nurse recruiters.
We provide numerous articles and links which explain how to submit a visa petition to employ a foreign-born RN, discuss the often-confusing "VisaScreen" requirements which include credentialing and English-language proficiency, and enable readers to contact RN licensing boards.
Finally, since we represent over 100 hospitals in various states across the U.S., we offer a free service to both our hospital and RN clients. We help place RNs in hospitals that we represent. Many of these hospitals pay part or all of our legal fees. The result is that hospitals are able to obtain the services of a foreign-born, U.S.-licensed nurse without paying a recruitment fee, and the RN is able to obtain a job and a green card without paying a recruiter, and often, without paying any legal fees.
This page is divided into the following subtopics: (SS) Success Stories; (1) An Immigration Guide for RNs and Their Employers; (2) Chat Transcripts; (3) Licensing and VisaScreen; (4) English Examinations; (5) California's Nurse-Patient Staffing Ratios; (6) Nursing Relief for Disadvantaged Areas Act of 1999; (7) National Shortage of Nurses; and (8) Regulations on Health Care Workers.
